Kelly (McKinnon) Bermingham, MA, BCBA # 1-03-1368, Senior Vice President


As Senior Vice President of People’s Care Behavior Health, Kelly is dedicated to the mission, vision and core values of People’s Care and dedicated to providing unparalleled compassionate care, with exceptional quality and greater access to care for families and children. Kelly has over 25 years of working with adults and children with autism and developmental disabilities including autism. She is a published author including a book, Social Skills Solutions found on Amazon. She has published several blogs with Autism Speaks, and her work has been published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders and has a podcast. She has passion in the areas of supporting parents and professionals working with children with autism to promote safety, kindness, and having a happy and healthy life.

She loves hiking, going to the beach and spending time with her family and going to Furcon events with her stepdaughter.





Catherine Maldonado, MS, BCBA # 1-17-25598, Clinical Manager


As a Clinical Manager at People’s Care Behavior Health, Catherine Maldonado oversees the Los Angeles, Riverside, Victorville area including San Gabriel Valley. She has over 10 years of experience working with children and young adults with developmental disabilities including autism. Catherine has a passion for teaching play, social skills and caregiver training. She has worked at People’s Care in various roles for over 7 years and has found a new interest in using the principles of applied behavior analysis within her management role.

Catherine’s hobbies and interests include camping and hiking with her family, art and collecting vintage.



Nida Chouhan, MS, BCBA # 1-15-26515, Clinical Manager


As the Clinical Manager of People’s Care Behavior Health, Nida oversees a passionate team of clinicians and therapists in San Diego County and Temecula regions whose number one priority is providing the highest quality of client-centered care for the clients and families they serve. Nida has over 12 years of experience working with adults and children with developmental disabilities including autism. She has been with People’s Care for 6 years. She is especially passionate about delivering value-based, culturally competent, and empathetic approach to treatment design and individualizing treatment programs for the unique needs and values of each of the families she and her team serves in order to help them to become as independent as possible...

Nida’s hobbies and interests include hiking, biking, drawing, painting, and baking/cooking.





Makoto Shibutani, M.A., BCBA #1-14-15628, Clinical Development & Services Director

As a Clinical Manager of People’s Care Behavioral Health, Makoto oversees the Riverside/San Bernardino team with professional and trusted relationships. Makoto has a total of 16 years of working with adults and children with developmental disabilities including autism. He has been with People’s Care for 10 years. Makoto believes that even small interaction with a child can impact their lives and his goal is to provide each child continuous positive interaction through the ABA services. Makoto has published several books on the topic of ABA, including The ABA Visual Language found on Amazon

Makoto enjoys hiking, fishing and riding a bicycle with his family.
